Prisoner Express Presents – Annual Art Exhibition April 11th

Art is  a tool of expression that allows us to capture snapshots of our individual human experiences. For some, art is their only way of telling the world who they are and may go unnoticed within the confines of life incarcerated. This art show serves to bring light to those misrepresented voices who desire to have their experiences told through their artwork.

Art Exhibition:

thomas stronblah mothOn April 11th at the Big Red Barn, come out to an insightful art show highlighting work from artists in prisons throughout the United States. Experience the world they live in through their art, and view an original, one minute animated piece entitled “The Moth and the Light”, created by Jack Weisman collaborating with Prisoner Express Art Director, Treacy Ziegler. Watch as these two bring to light art created by the creative minds of people incarcerated, through animation.

Everyone Welcome:

Enjoy some light refreshments while taking in the insightful and diverse array of artwork from prisoners across the United States. All are welcome. Individuals with disabilities needing accommodations should contact the Alternatives Library at (607) 255-6486.
