One World Cafe, Anabel Taylor

We often feel forced to hide parts of ourselves, to choose certain identities over others. It takes courage and conviction to create our own realities, to carve out our own spaces, to ultimately (re)invent ourselves.

Through poetry, song, stories, and spoken word, we want this night to give voice to those that were previously unheard, to celebrate the intersections of ourselves, to find your story in other stories, to find community, and to build our own community.
*We are looking for individuals of the Cornell and Ithaca communities to commit in advance to share their stories. If you are interested, please e-mail Nev at njp53@cornell.edu

I'm on a mission to prove that we can live in a society that reconciles with our history, respects difference, cherishes the land and animals, and can create solutions to the challenges we face.
