The Cornell Lending Library is Promoting Educational Equity

The Durland Alternatives Library is home to a new project that offers free semester long loans of textbooks to students who would struggle to afford their academic resources otherwise. Moved by the stories of his peers and his own struggle in affording textbooks, Nicholas Karavolias of First in Class, worked alongside Durland Alternatives to develop a solution to this widespread issue.

The Cornell Lending Library collection currently bolsters over 160 textbooks that are relevant to courses offered at Cornell University with nearly a quarter of them in circulation this semester!
