3 Ways to the Alternatives Library

If you’re not a regular Cornell pedestrian, you’re likely to have a few barriers to visiting the Durland Alternatives Library.

Just remember, the good things aren’t always the easiest to find.

We’re a true gem, tucked away in a HUGE castle-of-a-building, Anabel Taylor Hall. Alas! Don’t fret…

Here are three proven methods of achieving the Alternatives Library experience with ease;

1. Free Parking after 5pm and on Weekends. We bend our open hours to make it easier for you to stop by. Otherwise, there’s metered parking across the street and in Collegetown.

2. Take the bus. Route 10 goes between downtown Ithaca and the Durland Alternatives Library every 10 minutes!  Plus, every bus route passing through Cornell stops at Anabel Taylor Hall (where we are). Visit www.tcatbus.com for scheduling information

3. Hike the trail. Cascadilla gorge, a beautiful waterfall and forested path, starts downtown and ends just two blocks from the Alternatives Library. Pack your snacks, gather your friends, and take the trail!
