Alternatives Library Marks Milestone

We’re turning 40!

As we approach our 40th anniversary, myself along with members of the DAL advisory board have been in constant reflection. Since the library’s founding in 1974 so much has changed. The Durland Alternatives Library has consistently been providing cutting edge materials to the community free of charge. Learning about the people who grew this organization is awe inspiring and humbling.

Eric Banford, writer for Tompkins Weekly, published this article about our 40th Anniversary Celebration. Read it here.
