Self Publishing with Zines!

The DIY (Do it Yourself) Center, a new program of Durland Alternatives Library, is hosting a workshop series on self-publishing. The series is called “Self Publishing with Zines”. The classes are being offered by Samuel Schirvar, Isabella Mahadev, and Ryan Clover-Owens.

This series of workshops will teach participants about the history and use of zines for distributing information. The classes will also walk them through the process of creating their own self-published materials: writing, designing, printing, and distributing. It will include a number of printed copies of their zine for free for each participant and the zines will also be distributed at the Alternatives Library. The participants will also lean how the DIY Resource Center functions and how to access it’s resources in the future.

This workshop series is also being offered through the Ithaca Freeskool.
